Livrinho de costura

Fiz este livrinho para a costura usando algodão branco para a capa, intertela para o interior e feltro rosa grosso para o centro.

I made this sewing book using white cotton fabric for the cover, interfacing for the inside and thick pink felt for the center.

Decorei a capa com uma flor que fiz com renda e fita e com um motivo de croché tambem feito por mim. Cobri as laterais com rendas e com um alfinete adicionei esse lindo pingente de uma máquina de costura que a Bethinha me deu numa troca.

I decorated the cover with a flor I made from lace and ribbon and with a crocheted motif I also made. I covered the edges with laces and with a pin I added that lovely pendant of a sewing machine that Beth gave me in a swap.

No interior costurei uma tira de renda para segurar botões e molas soltas. Na intertela caseei uma concha em croché e um botão. A intertela serve para alfinetes, agulhas, etc.

In the inside I sewed on a strip of lace that helps to keep secure loose buttons and snaps. In the interfacing I sewed a crochet shell and a button. The interfacing helps to hold pins and needles.

No centro costurei uma laço e um detalhe em renda ao feltro.

In the center I sewed on a bow and a lace detail to the felt.

No interior do feltro, costurei um motivo de renda como bolso que serve para colocar o dedal e uma bobine fina de linha branca, que é a linha que eu mais uso. O feltro também serve para segurar agulhas e alfinetes. Tinha esse feltro sepia dobrado com as agulhas que eu mais uso e decidi colocá-lo no centro seguro apenas com um alfinete para ser fácil de tirar e voltar a colocar.

In the inside of the felt, I sewed on a lace motif as a pocket to hold my thimble and a thin bobbin of white thread, which is the thread I use most. The felt also helps to hold needles and pins. I had that sepia colored folded felt with the sewing needles I use most and I decided to put in the center only secure with a pin so that it would be easy to take out and put back again.

Na outra parte da intertela, costurei um pedaço de renda larga também para servir de bolso para guardar tiras de papel com molas e botões, remendos, bobines de linha, etc.

In the other side of the interfacing, I sewed a wide piece of lace to serve as a pocket to keep strips of paper with snaps and buttons, fabric patches, thread bobbins, etc.
