Marcadores de livro em croché

Croché é, sem dúvida, uma das artes que mais gosto de fazer. E dos itens que mais gosto de fazer em croché são marcadores de livro. Havia imprimido uma receita há tempos para fazer estes marcadores de livro. Estava na minha lista de afazeres faz tempo.

Crochet is, without doubt, one of the crafts I most enjoy. And of the items I most like to crochet are bookmarks. I had printed a pattern some time ago to make these bookmarks. It was in my to-do list for a long time.

Fiz o primeiro marcador em linha Babylo nº 6 da DMC em ecru escuro. Adorei o resultado! Juntei franjas nas pontas.

I made the first bookmark with no. 6 Babylo cotton thread from DMC in dark ecru. I loved the result! I added fringes to the ends.

Resulta num marcador de aspecto mais vintage e rústico, ideal para livros maiores com folhas grossas.
This results in a bookmark with a more vintage and rustic look, ideal for larger books with thick pages.

Fiz o segundo marcador de livro em linha Babylo nº 12 da DMC em ecru claro. Adorei este também! Igualmente juntei franjas a cada lado.
I made the second bookmark with no. 12 Babylo cotton thread from DMC in light ecru. I also love this one! I also joined fringes to each side on this one.

Resultou num marcador mais delicado, ainda de aspecto vintage mas também shabby-chic. Este é ideal para livros menores ou Bíblias (cujas folhas são normalmente finíssimas).
It resulted in a more delicate bookmark, though still with a vintage and also shabby-chic look. This one is ideal for smaller books or Bibles (which normally have very thin pages).

Shadowbox botânico

Tenho o costume de reutilizar as shadowboxes para mudar a decoração da casa. As shadowboxes são mais difíceis de encontrar por estas bandas do que as molduras normais, logo reutilizo-as frequentemente.

I have the habit of reusing shadowboxes when redecorating the house. Shadowboxes are harder to find in these parts than normal frames, so I reuse them frequently.

Diferentes das molduras normais, as shadowboxes têm um espaço entre o vidro e a parte de trás. Permite colar objectos tridimensionais dando textura e dimensão. 

Differently from normal frames, shadowboxes have a gap between the glass and the rear end. This allows us to glue tridimensional objects adding texture and dimension.

Reutilizei esta shadowbox para um motivo botânico vintage. Imprimi numa folha A4 um fundo da Shabby Art Boutique (para aceder ao gráfico bastar subscrever à newsletter do blog -- é grátis!). Este fundo que tem uma porção de pauta musical na parte de cima e uma amostra de caligrafia na metade de baixo.

I reused this shadowbox for a vintage botanical printable. I printed on an A4 sheet a background from Shabby Art Boutique (to access the printable all you need is to subscribe to the blog's newsletter -- it's free!) This background has a portion of a musical piece on the top part and a sample of calligraphy on the bottom half.

Recortei a parte da caligrafia do tamanho da moldura. Imprimi uma imagem botânica linda de um lírio que gravei deste blog: 

I cut the calligraphy part the size of the frame. I printed a beautiful botanical of an iris flower that I downloaded from this blog:

Imprimi a imagem num tamanho menor do que o fundo. Depois, recortei-a e colei-a no meio do fundo caligráfico (usei a minha cola em roller que adoro). 

I printed the botanical smaller than the background. Then, I cut it and glued it onto the center of the calligraphic background (I used my glue roller that I love).

Esta composição em si só já é uma doçura e dá perfeitamente para uma moldura normal (sem profundidade). Mas como é uma shadowbox, queria adicionar dimensão. Na parte de lateral interior da moldura, usei cola vinílica para colar uma renda e uma fita castanha com uma flor de tecido na parte de cima da renda.
This composition by itself is already so sweet and suits perfectly for a normal frame (without the depth). But since this is a shadowbox, I wanted to add dimension. On the inner side of the frame, I used vinyl glue to glue a piece of lace and a tan-brown ribbon with a fabric flower on the top end of the lace.

Também usei a mesma cola para colar a borboleta metálica que guardei de um brinco. Adicionei um coração de pérolas colado num cartão canelado castanho e com uma pérola no centro.

I used the same glue to add a metal butterfly that I kept from a earring. I added a pearl heart glued to brown corrugated cardboard with a pearl in the center.

Na parte inferior colei uma flor que fiz com a técnica de quilling. Colei ainda três flores violetas metálicas, que havia feito com um furador em forma de flor.

On the bottom I glued a flower I made using quilling. I also added three metallic violet flowers, that I had made with a flower-shaped punch.

Adicionei ainda outras flores e folhas feitas com furadores.
 I also added other punch-art flowers and leaves.

Tela pintada

Mais uma tela pintada com tintas acrílicas. Também utilizei tinta acrílica metálica para os dourados.

Cesto de suculentas em croché

Com restos de lã em tons azuis esverdeados, e combinando lãs de tons amarelos e rosas, fiz um mão cheia de suculentas em croché. 

With scraps of leftover yarn in hues of greenish blue, and joining yarns of yellow and pink hues, I crocheted a handful of succulents.

Dispus-as num cesto de vime e fiz uns raminhos decorativos com missangas e fio.

Smoothie matinal

Uma das melhores formas de começar a manhã é um smoothie energético. Substitui o café e é uma delícia.

One of the best ways to start the mornings is with an energetic smoothie. It replaces coffee and is delicious.

Esse smoothie levou 2 bananas, 1 manga, sumo de 1 limão e bagas goji. Depois foi polvilhado com sementes de cânhamo.

This smoothie was made with 2 bananas, 1 mango, juice of 1 lemon and goji berries. It was then sprinkled with hemp seeds.

Porque Deus há de trazer a juízo toda obra, e até tudo o que está encoberto, quer seja bom, quer seja mau.

Tela com técnica de decoupage

Esta é uma tela recente que fiz. 

This is a recent canvas I made.

Tinha essa imagem guardada e decidi imprimir em papel de impressão, na nossa impressora a jacto de tinta. Depois de deixar secar uns dias, colei a imagem na tela com cola decoupage e pincel. Passei a cola na tela e depois por cima da imagem também. 

I had this picture stored and I decided to print it on printer paper, on our inkjet printer. After leaving it to dry for a few days, I glued it to the canvas with decoupage glue and a brush. I applied glue to the canvas and over the picture.

Para finalizar, usei uma mistura de tintas acrílicas para conseguir combinar o fundo com os tons na imagem.

To finish the canvas, I used a mixture of acrylic paints to blend the background with the picture hues.

Páscoa

Porque Deus amou o mundo de tal maneira que deu o seu Filho unigênito, para que todo aquele que nele crê não pereça, mas tenha a vida eterna.
