Cartões Boas Festas

E como é a época, saem mais cartões de Boas Festas. Desta vez em tons de branco e cinza.

'Tis the season, and so more Greeting Cards are coming. This time in tones of white and grey.

Este foi feito com cartão decorativo. Na frente sobrepus um pedaço de papel de algodão e em cima do papel de algodão, um pedaço de papel vegetal a condizer com o cartão. Colei uma estrelinha de madeira que a minha amiga Bethinha me deu há uns anos, numa troca de Natal :)

This one was made with decorative cardstock. In the front, I layered a piece of cotton paper and on top of the cotton paper, I layered a piece of vellum the same as the cardstock. Then I glued a wooden star that my friend Bethinha gave me some years ago, in a Christmas swap :)

Colei ainda um floco autocolante.

I also glued a sticker snowflake.

No interior furei dois floquinhos em papel azul claro e escrevi 'Season's Greetings' com caneta gel azul.
On the inside, I punched two little snowflakes in light blue paper and wrote 'Season's Greetings' with a blue gel pen.

Este foi feito no mesmo cartão. Sobrepus um cartão fino cinza. Depois colei uma pedra em forma de gota brilhante. Colei umas quantas pedrinhas brilhantes e um floco em espuma. Depois com uma caneta gel branca, desenhei os pormenores.
This card was done using the same cardstock. I layered a piece of grey lightweight cardstock. Then I glued a drop-shaped rhinestone. I also glued small rhinestones and a foam snowflake to the card. Then with a white gel pen I drew the details.

No interior cortei um tira do mesmo cartão cinza e colei. Nas pontas colei dois flocos em madeira. Escrevi 'Season's Greetings' com a caneta gel branca, e na página ao lado 'A Blessed New Year' com caneta gel cinza.
On the inside, I glued a strip of the same grey cardstock. At the ends I glues two wooden snowflakes. I wrote 'Season's Greetings' with a white gel pen, and on the next page I wrote 'A Blessed New Year' with a silver gel pen.

Mini-cartões de Boas Festas

Os mini-cartões são ideais para acompanhar prendas e lembranças. 

Mini-cards are ideal for accompanying gifts and souvenirs.

Fiz estes dois mini-cartões de cartão castanho.

I made these two mini-cards in brown cardstock.

O primeiro é decorado com um floco de EVA autocolante e decorei o cartão com caneta gel branca.

The first one I decorated with a foam snowflake and decorated the card using a white gel pen.

No interior, usei um home-de-neve dourado autocolante e fiz as pintinhas e o sentimento com caneta gel dourada.
On the inside, I used a golden snowman sticker and did the dots and sentiment with a golden gel pen.

Neste cartão usei um floco e croché e colei uma pedrinha brilhante no centro.
On this card, I used a crocheted snowflake and glued a rhinestone on the center.

No interior, furei dos flocos em cartão corrugado em castanho e branco, e sobrepus o branco em cima do castanho. O sentimento foi escrito com caneta gel branca.
In the inside, I punched two snowflakes in corrugated cardboard, in white and brown, and I layered the white on the brown. The sentiment was written with a white gel pen.

Rosa em aguarela

A minha inspiração tem vontade própria. Agora ando numa fase de desenhar e pintar. Parafraseando Blaise Pascal: "O coração tem inspirações que a inspiração desconhece" :D

My inspiration has a will of its own. Now I'm onto a phase of drawing and painting. Paraphrasing Blaise Pascal: "The heart has inspirations that the inspiration does not know of" :D

Desenhei a rosa e pintei com lápis aguarela. Com uma brush pen de água, combinei as cores.

I drew the rose and then colored it with watercolor pencils. I then used a water brush pen to blend the colors.

Pulseira

Fiz esta pulseira muito simples. Usei uma tira de camurça, e numa ponta usei uma argola metálica e na outra pinta usei uma concha furada. A meio juntei uma libelinha metálica com uma argolinha metálica.

I made this very simple bracelet. I used some chamois strip, and added a metallic ring on one end and a drilled seashell on the other end. I attached a metallic dragonfly using a jump ring.

Aguarelas

Esta semana acabei por brincar com aguarelas e lápis de aguarelas. Andei a fazer umas tentativas que vi pela net. 

This week I played with watercolor paints and pencils. I tried out some things I saw on the internet.

A primeira imagem foi feita com aguarelas.

The first picture was done with watercolors.

A segunda imagem foi feita com lápis de aguarelas. Desenha-se/pinta-se com os lápis e depois passa-se um pincel molhado para unir as cores.
The second picture was done with watercolor pencils. I draw/paint with the pencils and then with a wet brush I blend the colors together.

Melhor é o pouco com o temor do Senhor, do que um grande tesouro, e com ele a inquietação.

Cartões de Boas Festas

Já começou a produção de cartões de Boas Festas :) Estes são dois deles, mas há mais a caminho!

The Season's Greetings card-making production has begun :) These are two of them, but many more are on the way!

Este é feito em cartão cinza, com flor em papel vegetal decorativo, e com pedrinhas brilhantes.

This one is made of grey cardboard, with a vellum flower and decorated with rhinestones.

O segundo também em cartão cinza, leva uma cartolina mais fina em azul e depois colei meio naperon de papel. Decorei com um floco em espuma e um floco mais pequeno em madeira.
The second one is also made in grey cardboard, has a lighter weight cardboard in blue and then I glued half of a paper doily. I decorated it with a foam snowflake and with a smaller wooden snowflake.

Desenho de aromáticas

Com lápis de aguarela, desenhei estas aromáticas: cebolinho, salsa, alecrim, zimbro e salva.

With watercolor pencils, I drew these herbs: allium, parsley, rosemary, juniper and sage.

Pedí, e dar-se-vos-á; buscai, e achareis; batei e abrir-se-vos-á.

Pois todo o que pede, recebe; e quem busca, acha; e ao que bate, abrir-se-lhe-á.

Flores em croché

Gosto imenso de fazer flores de croché.

I really like to crochet flowers.

Para usar os restinhos de linha, costumo fazer florzinhas simples :

faço um anel mágico e dentro do anel faço (1 mb, 3pa, 1mb) 5x e uno tudo.

To use up the itty bitty scraps of thread, I usually make simple little flowers:

I make a magic ring and inside it I make (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) 5x and then I join.

Fiz as florzinhas pequenas em bege e branco assim...

That's how I made the little white and beige flowers...

Cesto decorativo outonal

Decorei um cestinho de vime para a janela do quarto. Fiz folhas de carvalho em croché com lã de cor outono e lã dourada. A receita está aqui:

I decorated a little vine basket for the bedroom window. I made same crocheted oak leaves with autumn toned wool and golden wool. The pattern is here:

Uni as folhas num fio de lã e coloquei duas pinhas. Depois enrolei tudo no cesto. 

I joined the leaves with a thread of wool and added two pinecones. Then I rolled everything into the basket.

Caixa com flores em branco

Decidi decorei esta caixa de papel e então fiz flores com caneta gel branca e canetas gel metálicas.

I decided to decorate this paper box so I drew some flowers with white gel pen and metallic gel pens.

Por isso não desfalecemos; mas ainda que o nosso homem exterior se esteja consumindo, o interior, contudo, se renova de dia em dia.
