Many years ago (about 30 years ago), my godmother gave me a diary, that I dearly treasured. Its cover is wonderful and it had pastel colored pages: blue, pink and beige.
During the years, I filled the pages of that diary with thoughts, texts, poems, etc. Meanwhile, I kept it so for many more years, until recently I only kept the cover. Isn't it so beautiful?
I wanted to repurpose it some how: as a junk journal or as a new diary. So I decided last week that I would turn it into a new diary.
E ficou assim:
And this was the result:
The internal covers were printed on thicker paper and the printables are available here:

The pages are made from normal paper in white, pink, blue or bege. I use A4 sized sheet that I cut in half and then fold to make the pages (the final size is about A6). I have printed images on some of the pages.
More printed pages. Here you can see that the book signatures are a little apart, because I chose the threads too thick when stitching the signatures together.
There is also a ribbon stitched to the inside of the backbone to mark the pages. I used the same ribbon to hold the diary's key.
In the next post, I will show how I usually sew my journal signatures and also show why in this case the signatures have a space between them.

Eu sou a videira; vós sois as varas.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
